Last Friday we had a tsunamI drill and it was the first time that I was in a tsunami. I was really anxious and nervous because I did not know what was going on and we were going to the hill behind Paihia School and we had to evacuate from School. All of the East Coast was evacuated. We had to walk up hill behind my school and it was very steep and there were children that were struggling to get up hill so I went to help them get up the hill. The children's parents were speeding when they where going up and going down they come to take them somewhere else where there is no open sea.
This tsunami was not very fun but it did not end up hitting Paihia and Waitangi. I was really thankful that it did not end up hitting Paihia and Waitangi because I live in Waitangi and I go to Paihia School. I was having a really bad panic attack because I didn’t know where my family was so I was crying. What will you do during a tsunami?
